Serge Tousignant, Eng., President

Serge is an experienced entrepreneur with extensive know-how in managing engineering and construction companies. During his career, Serge held several operational management positions at power and automation technologies companies. He holds an electrical engineering degree from École Polytechnique de Montreal.

Alain Arsenault, Eng., MBA, Director of Finance

Alain has more than 25 years of business management experience in the areas of strategic management, corporate development, and investment decision-making, in many sectors and industries within the international arena. Alain works closely with upper management to help companies overcome critical challenges such as growth strategies and the development of innovative business models.

Marc-Antoine Pelletier, Eng., M.Sc., Business Development Director

Marc-Antoine acts as strategic advisor and stakeholder in clean-tech companies. Over the last 30 years, he has maximized the value proposal of hard and soft assets of start-up and of merchant bankers in the sector of Environment and Energy. His modus operandi revolves around assembling management teams, raising capital and developing corporate strategies while providing leadership in establishing corporate culture and governance.

Normand Bergeron

Normand has 35 years of experience in the public sector where he has served namely as Vice-President of Quebec’s Régie de l’énergie (provincial energy board, 2002 to 2005) and Associate Deputy Minister for energy and climate change. Normand held the position of Chief Executive Officer of Infrastructure Québec until he joined the Deloitte team in October 2011.

Daniel Péloquin

Daniel is a Senior Advisor and former President and CEO, Schneider Electric Canada, DPC Consulting. He has been involved in the manufacturing and exporting of products and services serving the electrical Transmission and Distribution (T&D) industry and End Users on international markets for close to 35 years. Daniel’s background includes extensive executive leadership in general management, engineering, sales, marketing and operations. He has a wealth of experience in leading and managing large teams of people for many large, global organizations, in Canada, the U.S., and internationally.

Mark W. Auger

Mark W. Auger

Mark is a Senior Advisor, Angel Investor, and former Managing Partner of the Desjardins Private Counsel Group, a leading Canadian multifamily office. He has over 20 years of extensive experience in the capital markets, the financial services and the telecommunication industries, dealing with institutional and business clients. Mark`s background spans senior roles in sales and marketing, risk, and portfolio management functions. Mark has earned a Bachelor degree in Economics, an M.B.A., and is currently completing a Doctorate in Management.

Dan Boucher, Eng., Vice-President, Business Development (Systemex Group)

Dan Boucher has experience spanning more than 25 years in the energy and automation markets, having worked for some of the largest businesses in the industry, at the national, North American and global levels.

Over the years, Dan has held various positions in general management and strategic development, managed sales and marketing, engineering and operations teams, assumed project management functions and participated in many acquisition transactions. He also headed many initiatives aimed at expanding businesses in the public sector (electricity suppliers), energy-consuming companies and mass distribution entities. Dan currently holds the title of Vice-President, Business Development, for the Systemex Group heading their Sales and Marketing efforts.

Dan holds an engineering degree from École de Technologie Supérieure à Montréal, and obtained his PMP certification from the Project Management Institute in Newton Square, Pennsylvania. He is also a member of the board of directors of several organizations in the energy sector.

Simon Jasmin, Eng., Ph. D., Technology Director

Simon has more than 15 years of experience in both the technical and management sides of engineering, research, and development projects.

Gilles Trudel

Gilles Trudel, Eng., M.Eng., M.Sc., Project Manager SOFTload TM

Gilles has spent 30 years in a planning function within the Transmission Group at Hydro-Quebec.

Brendan Kirby, Eng.

Brendan has 37 years of electric power experience, of which 14 years were spent on electric power research at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Brendan is part of numerous technical committees at FERC and NERC and has published a significant number of papers on Demand Response.

Mark O’Malley, Ph. D., MRIA, FIEEE

Mark is a Professor of Electrical Engineering at University College Dublin (UCD), as well as the founder and Director of the Electricity Research Centre, an industry supported research group, chaired by the Irish energy regulator. He has authored over 150 academic papers and supervised 15 Ph.D.s to completion.

Julien Sylvestre, Ph. D., Eng.

Julien is a professor at Université de Sherbrooke and Vice-Chair at IBM.
